History behind Neighbors sue over Terry Black’s BBQ smoke

Fifteen neighbors near Terry Black’s Barbecue have sued the eatery over the smoke generated by the restaurant, reports the Austin American-Statesman.

According to the report, the neighbors’ suit alleges that the smoke from the restaurant wafts into their homes near the restaurant at 1003 Barton Springs Road just south of downtown. The situation, as reported by the Statesman, has the neighbors alleging that the smoke is causing, or already has caused, physical pain and impairment and mental anguish, among other maladies.

Videos posted to YouTube, and embedded below this article, by neighbors of Terry Black’s show yards draped in hazy smoke emitted from the restaurant’s smokestacks on its kitchen roof just feet from the property line.
