No temperature gauge and no need for one, because once you set the lower vent for the elevation you live at, there are no other adjustments for temps. It runs at the temperatures it was designed to run at. Now with that said, I normally run a few probes into the unit. One for grate temp, and one for internal meat temp, so I can just monitor both.
