How To Grill Country Ribs

BBQ Sauce Recipe

This sauce recipe below is a variation of Big Bob Gibson’s Memphis Style Championship Red Sauce. If you’d like to see the original recipe it’s in the book “Big Bob Gibson’s BBQ Book” by Chris Lilly.

1 ¼ Cups Ketchup
1 Cup Water
¾ Cup Tomato Paste
⅓ Cup Brown Sugar
⅓ Cup Brown Rice Syrup (Or Corn Syrup)
¼ Cup Maple Syrup
2 tbsp Honey
3 tbsp Molasses
2 tsp Salt
4 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tbsp Applesauce
1 ½ tsp Soy Sauce
1 ½ tsp Liquid Smoke
½ tsp Onion Powder
¾ tsp Cornstarch
½ tsp Dried Mustard Powder
¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper
¼ tsp Black Pepper
⅛ tsp Garlic Powder
⅛ tsp White Pepper
⅛ tsp Celery Seed
⅛ tsp Ground Cumin

Put all the ingredients into a pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. I let it cool, then put it in Ziploc bags and freeze it.
