“So, I watched this video this morning and thought, “Dang! I gotta make these!”, so I took off for the grocery store and bought all the stuff I needed BUT I could not find an apple corer to save my sorry life despite going to three different stores. But, I improvised! What I did was cut each of the potatoes in half lengthwise then scooped out about half of the insides. I then packed the steak, onions and seasoning (along with diced and sautéed hybrid jalapeno/green pepper from my garden) into the halves. I joined the two halves and used three strips of bacon wrapped around each spud to hold them together. The rest was done according to the video. OMG! They were great! The potato flesh that I scooped out went to make home fries in the drippings from the sautéed mixture. Oh, yeah!. You guys are gonna make me fat! Love your videos but I REALLY love the food!!!
