i disagree TOTALLY; cooking the meat in the fluid first is the best way for me. they’ve been using this method to flavor meats and vegetables for centuries. The brats dont really have much of a flavor to give off because they are in the casing. this is becoming the new hip way to cook them but I dont like it. the brat comes out the texture of a boiled hot dog; I want it the other way around. again, to each their own.” – jpm4444
